Seasons Greeting from Niels Aage Kjaer

Dear employees and business partners,


The year is coming to an end and as Christmas is approaching, it will soon be time for a well-deserved break together with our loved ones.

2020 has been a rather unusual year due to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit us in the beginning of the year, first in China and then worldwide. AVK has also been affected. During the year, we have had a strong focus on the health and safety of our employees, and as soon as it has been brought to our attention that employees in any of our companies or departments have been infected, we have taken the necessary measures to prevent the virus from spreading. Sadly, we have lost three of our employees to the coronavirus. They will all be missed, and our thoughts are with the bereaved families.

A few of our companies have had to close down for shorter periods due to COVID-19. Despite of this, we have been able to maintain our operation throughout these periods and thereby ensured the deliveries to our customers. We have been able to do this thanks to our global setup as well as a great collaboration between our local and global organisation, which has ensured a professional and efficient supply chain.

We have achieved a great result this year despite the challenges the year has brought. This is a result of good leadership, great collaboration and the strong effort of all our employees. AVK is a healthy company with a well-functioning structure and organisation and therefore, we are well equipped for the new year and the challenges and opportunities it holds.

As a responsible company, we will in the coming year continue to focus on the health and safety of our employees, while maintaining our focus on securing deliveries to our customers. Further we will continue having a strong focus on long-term investments, which will contribute to the development of sustainable products and solutions within our business areas – for the benefit of our employees, our customers and the environment.

Before we go on a well-deserved break, I would like to thank all employees and business partners for their efforts and collaboration. It has been a pleasure working with all of you, and I look forward to the collaboration next year – with hope that there are more normalised times just around the corner
